The things people ask first
How deep does a check actually go?
Two levels. The first is everything that can be determined without contacting the receiving mail server: syntax, domain, MX records, disposable and role based detection, and typo suggestions. The second is the live mailbox check, which asks the receiving server whether that specific address accepts mail. Both run on every plan, alongside the enrichment.
What happens with catch-all domains?
A catch-all domain accepts mail for every address, whether or not a mailbox exists behind it. No verifier can give you a definitive answer there, and any that claims to is guessing. We label the result as undetermined, explain why, and do not bill for it.
What do you actually store?
Addresses are stored as irreversible keyed hashes rather than plaintext, which lets us cache and re-check without holding a readable copy of your list. Results carry their own provenance so you can see what was verified live and what was served from cache.
What does “you only pay for answers” mean in practice?
If a check cannot be resolved, most often because of a catch-all domain or an unreachable mail server, it returns undetermined and does not count against your monthly allowance. This is implemented in the billing logic. It is not a discretionary credit you have to ask for.
How is this different from the verifier we already use?
Most verifiers return a flag on one field. VerifAi cleans the whole record in the same pass: phone formats, postal addresses, company names, person names and duplicates, with the enrichment included rather than sold as a second product. If your problem is contact data quality rather than bounce rate alone, that is the gap this fills.
